Chapter Chat

This is my week 3 term 4 Chapter Chat I decided to do digital design. I created an avatar of Lu. I chose Lu because I know a heap of things about him. I added a few things of what the book said about him. I have put a track behind him because he is on the defender's track team. The hardest bit was adding small details at the end because I was making is as realistic as possible. The easiest thing was making the avatar because I know what he looks like because of the book.

What was the hardest thing? I think that the hardest thing was following the

instructions because we thought we didn't need the instructions

What worked well? I think that what worked well was putting up the tent.

What did you learn? I learned to follow the instructions even though we did not

listen to eachother.

The shelters we are aiming to make are very simple and won't take very long to make.
Both of our choices include the tarp and rope and we tie a rope between two trees
and hang the tarp on top. Some of the key features the shelters have are that they
wouldn't take long to create and it could fit two people inside the shelter and protects
you from the weather. The shelters are very similar but also have different features.

To make a bush shelter you will have to build it in a good spot. A good spot to build a shelter is not to close to a river or where is not damp or wet because you will get cold. Another good idea is to build a wall to block the wind or you will get cold.

The shelter needs to protect you from weather insects and bugs because you don't want to get bitten by a mosquito or a spider.

some things you can use to build a shelter is rope, tarp, and a tree.

A way With Words

This is my week 2 term 4 Chapter Chat I decided to do Away With Words. Ghost in the book wants new shoes because he doesn't want to get picked on about his shoes. Ghost chopped his hightops off because he is in a track team and high tops are way harder to run in. This is a letter I have made if I wanted new shoes. I have put lots of information about why I need new shoes. If I were Ghost I would just ask my mum. I think that low tops are easier to run in. The hardest bit of creating this is starting a new sentence because  I wanted to make sentences beside the letter Shoes. The easiest bit was choosing the colors.

Last term whetu has been doing our calendar arts. We had to draw and color in our own piece of art so you can put your art on different things like Calenders. We had a few options of what type of art you most want to do. I chose to do zentangling I tired using rainbow colors because I wanted my art to be colorful.

Chapter chat week 1 term 4 Research Centre

This week's chapter chat I did research center I did some of the world records. We are reading a new book called Ghost. Ghost is a nickname for Castle. Castle is a very fast runner and he has had no practice. Here is what I've done.

My holiday

Coming back to school we had to share what we have done in the holidays. In the holiday I went to the Karagahake gorge with my friend Carlee to do the walk. On the way up I saw my other friend Taylor that was cool seeing her as well as Carlee. We went on the window walk and that was fun because we haven't been in ages and also got to see the good views. There were a few tunnels but my favourite one was the biggest one because you could echo very loudly and here is what I've done.
