Whetu Catapult Challenge

The things that I used to make my catapult were three rubber bands and six popsicle sticks.

To make my catapult I worked with Madison M. I think that we work really well together because we can get things done and do a good job as well.

The most challenging part was tieing the rubber band around the stick without the sticks moving and separating from each other.

Our best results were our catapult going further than higher. Madison and I got into the semi-finals for getting high but then we didn't get higher than those other people. But I am still happy for them getting their results.

Overall I think that our catapult worked really well. I had so much fun working with Madison. I really enjoyed making the catapult.

Onomatopoeia Sentences

This is my Onomatopeia Sentences. For the very last sentence, we got to make up our sound effects. The one that I made up was crack. My favourite sentence is BOOM went the fireworks as they speed up into the sky. Either that or WOOSH goes the cold raindrop that lands on my head.

Murder Mystery

For this week the teachers wanted us to do a maths Mystery. The maths mystery is called (The Mystery of the Missing Story End). I did the maths mystery with Taylor. I had so much fun doing the maths with Taylor. Some bit's were a bit trickier than others but we both got there in the end. Taylor and I think that the answer is Florence.

Emoji

Today I made an emoji. This emoji is the Girlygirl emoji. The reason I called her that is because once I finished her that name was the first name that came to my mind. I am so happy with my final piece. Though it did take a long time to get the right colour and shape for the lips and the hair. This was really fun because I can see what my skill are and my weaknesses. I will also do my google drivers licence and hopefully learn something new doing the google drivers licence.

Week 1 Reflection

Week 1 Reflection

What has been my highlight this week was definitely doing the parade and seeing all of my friends at school again.

What was I nervous about this week was coming back to school not knowing what is going to happen.

For dress-up day I dressed up as a cowgirl. I wore a pair of jeans and a white t-shirt. I also wore a bandanna.

The funniest thing has happened this week is going to school and seeing all of the teachers dressing up and having fun.

I think the best-dressed person was Carlee. Not just because she's my friend but she went all out just so she could look like a cowgirl. She even wore her mum's shoes. She kept on telling me that her feet were sore. But she walked down the whole parade.

My Milk Bottle Creation

My Milk Bottle Creation

The milk bottle creations I made were an elephant and a boat. I had so much fun creating them because my imagination can do whatever it wants. I tried to make something that no one else is doing. I know that someone did a boat. But in a completely different style than mine.

The hardest part was Probably cutting out the right shape for the elephant. It was really hard to cut the milk bottle and turn it into the right shape. The trickiest part of making the boat was figuring out how to make the paper stay there and not slip down the stick that I used to make the sails.

The easiest part was sticking on the extra bits to make the creations really fantastic and cool to look at. My goal was to try to get people to actually know what I made and most people noticed what it is. 

I enjoyed The whole experience of creating my milk bottle creations. I like trying new things and challenging myself to do the things that I have never done before. I love creating new things and different equipment that I don’t usually use.

Shell Art!!!

Today I made a dog out of shells and paint.I was actually looking at egg carton art until I saw that someone made a dog out of shells. So I tried to not make the same dog. Because I wanted to make my own version of a dog. Personally, I think my shell art turned out really well. I had so much fun watching the dog come to life. My favourite part of creating the dog was probably painting and mixing the colours.

Biking

Today I went on the bikes. I had to go on Jessica's bike because dad has only fixed Jessica's one so far. I'm getting mine fixed tomorrow. Mum helped us set up the ramp so Jessica and I can jump over it with our bikes. When dad is going to fix my bike I am going to bike down the whole road and back with Jessica. I am going to try and beat Jessica's time going down the road and back. Her time is around 10 minutes. I think that I can.                                                                                                                                                                                                                                             

Dominoes

Today I made a domino track. I tried to make something tall and something that I have never done. I made a small Tower but then they added on to it and made a bigger Tower. The annoying thing about Domino is when you knock down one Domino the rest fall down as well. There were about five accidents until I got a domino tower. The tower took me about half an hour to build. Sometimes when my siblings walk past and the tower would shake and just collapse. On the bright side, I had so much fun on the way.

                                         

                                                                           

Egg Carton Art

Today I was looking at what Egg Carton Art I should do. I zoomed in to see if there were any details I was missing. I wasn't paying any attention to the masks. Now I have looked I saw how funky they were. I just had to make them. I decided to copy one throughout the whole project. I chose the one with the long nose. I was so happy with my final piece. I learned that just because it looks like something that you have never done before doesn't mean you don't do it. When we get more egg cartons I am definitely going to make more.

Block Tower

                                                                                        

This is the tower that I made. I tried to make the tower as tall as me.
The tower nearly fell over. The reason it nearly did was because of the triangle-shaped blocks. They almost slipped when I was placing those other two blocks on top of them. 
when I knocked the tower over it made a really loud noise then I expected it to be.
I also used up all of the wooden blocks that we had.
I wanted the tower to be tall as well as fancy and I had just enough blocks to make that all happen.

Making Hokey Pokey!!!

For this week's Ch Ch, I made some Hokey Pokey. I learned that Hokey Pokey only uses three ingredients. Those three ingredients are Sugar, Golden Syrup, and baking soda. I also learned that Hokey Pokey is very easy to burn and it sets very fast. I got a bit carried away and made Hokey Pokey Icecream. I think that the most challenging part was quickly putting the mixture in something before it sets.

Backflip on the tramp

Today I learned how to do a backflip. I can already do a forward flip. So I wanted to master my backflip on the tramp. First I watched a few videos to get an idea of what I am doing. Sarah spotted me so I would get the feeling of going backwards. After I got my confidence up Sarah helped me flick my legs over and soon enough I landed it.
