Egg Drop Challenge

This is my Egg drop challenge. The goal was to create something for your egg to go into something so when you drop it you do not want the egg to drop. The people that I worked with were Carmen and Maia. I think that we worked really well together because we got our task finished. But our egg did smash. But I still had fun.

Week 2- Challenge Mahi

This is my Week 2- Challenge Mahi. I personally think that it is super easy because I already know the times tables. But it was still fun to do. I think that TTRockStars really made a change to my maths. before I started I only knew my ten-time tables. now I know most of the times tables.

This is my Matariki star. I think that this is a supernova because I put in all of my effort to get it done and do the best job I can. I had so much fun creating this. I think that the hardest part was cutting it out a sticking them on because it was really hard to cut it perfectly. I think that the easiest part was definitely drawing the pictures because I really like drawing and doing any art really. I found that the part that was fun for me was definitely putting the puzzle pieces together. I tried to make mine stand out from others. so I didn't use sharpie I used yellow coloring in pencils. I used yellow because that is kind of the colour of stars.

This is my Matariki learning. The things in the photo is two tasks. The first one is mix and match I think that this one is the easiest one because I already know that information. I just got to answer the questions and hope that I gt all of them right.

Matariki cross work

This is my crossword I think that it is a SUPERNOVA!!! because I didn't just cross off words. I used different colours for all of the different words that I found. I had s much fun crossing all of the words and most of all finding the words. I think that I the hardest part was definitely finding all of the words.  used to do heaps and heaps of crosswords but now since I haven't been doing much now I not so good at them now but I think that the more I practise I better I will get. 

Word of the Week

This is my Word Of The Week. The word of the week this week was Oblivious. I think that another word for oblivious means confused/Worried. Or uncomfortable. I think that the hardest part was finding the right image because all of the images were not the ones that I wanted. I think that the easiest part was changing the font. Because I already know how to change my font.

Matariki Jigsaw

This is my Matariki jigsaw. It took a long time for me to finish is because I was trying to make it perfect. I personally think that the hardest part was definitely doing the gluing the puzzle pieces together. The reason why that is because I glued them wrong so I had to very very very carefully peel them off and restick them on. I made a big hole but I used my resilence and fixed it. I think that the easiest part was definitely drawing the kite because I know how to draw kites and I find them really easy.

My Term 2, 2020 Reflection

My Term 2, 2020 Reflection

The new learning activity that I have enjoyed the most this term is Number of the Day because you have the choice of going into the three digit numbers or just stay in the two digit numbers. I like to challenge myself and do the three digit numbers. I know that I learned so much by doing the number of the day. I also think that TT Rock Stars gave me an extra boost with my maths. So now I am not so stuck with my number of the day. Some of the questions I didn’t even know but Mrs Kennedy explained it perfectly to us.

Something that has challenged me this term has been Sick Sentences. It was hard to come up with a good and descriptive sentence. But I still enjoyed doing the Sick sentences, I do like a challenge.

The Whetu Challenge I enjoyed the most was the Whetu Challenge that we do every Friday. Our last one that we did was the paper airplanes. The aim was to try and get your plane to go into the hanger. If you got into the hanger you got to go into the finals. I didn’t make it in. But I still had so much fun trying to get it into the hanger. My friend got 2nd place and she did really well.

The opt-in workshop I enjoyed the most was the pom pom birds. The reason that I liked that one the most was because I really enjoyed making pom poms, but I had never made them into an animal before. I was actually the first one to complete mine. I am proud of the bird that I made. I put it onto my bag for decoration.

An aim I have for my learning is to try and get more than three things onto my blog a week. I have had weeks where I did as much as I could but I had two days off.
