Chapter Challenge

this is my week 8 term 1 Chapter Challenge I decided to do a research center. I was researching about Bats. One of the best things that I found about bats is they don't have very good eyesight so they use an echo system so they know if they are going to crash into anything. the hardest bit about researching was trying to find out real information and putting it into my own words because there was a lot of things that did not sound right. The easiest part was drawing the bat because I learnt how to draw a bat and now I know how to draw it off by heart. one of the best bat cave is in texas the name is Bracken cave. I decided to show it differently. I chose to do bats because everybody else was doing waterfall. The best part was painting the background I did it all with my finger I had to keep on washing them because I didn't want certain colours mixing. Here is a link to my Kahoot I did. Kahoot

week 7 term 1 Chapter Challenge

This is my week 7 term 1 Chapter Challenge I decided to do Creation Station. I got to choose whatever scene from the book but you hade to make out of lego. The scene that I chose to create was when the sugar bag was left open even though the rule was not to help yourself to any of the food. So the ants started to eat the sugar. Now there is no more sugar. The hardest bit was making the sleeping bag ant the pillow because I have never made a sleeping and a pillow. The easiest part was making the fire out of lego because I think I used good colors to make the fire more realistic.

Chapter challenge digital design week 6 term 1

this is my Chapter Challenge week 6 term 1 Digital Design. I got to choose any scene from the story so far. I chose to do vertical trains. I tried to do it in a different way than most people make pictures. Instead of tracing a picture I used shapes to make the whole train. I think the hardest bit was getting the train track a good size for the train to fit. The easiest bit was making the sun because I think I good at doing suns on google drawings.

Away with word

This is my week 5 term two Ch Ch. I chose to do
Away With Words. I write a letter to the children.
The Easiest part was creating the post box for the
letter to go in. The hardest bit was making the
envelope because I forgot to bring the envelope
from home.

Chapter Challenge

This is my week four/ term two chapter challenge. This week I decided to do Research Center. I put a lot of effort into my chapter challenge. I think it is a supernova because it's not just a picture I added wool for my telegraph wires that I was researching about. The hardest bit was finding info that I understand.

Hannah's visual pepeha

Over the last week I have been working on my visual pepeha.

I am proud of how well I presented my star. It was really easy to fit my pictures in because I didn't have many to glue on to my star. I had a few extra blank spots so I did some patterns.

What I found challenging is glueing my two stars together because I was trying to get it perfect and no bits of paper hanging out.

I worked with my mum to create my whanau star.

Hannah's first blogpost

Something that I was nervous about when starting the new year at school was being a year six because I wanted to be a perfect role model of the year 5’s.

Something that has surprised me this week was that we have been doing a lot of teamwork building which has been very fun. My favorite activity was the summer something. The summer something is you only get newspaper and tape and you make something that you do in the summer. Someone I have helped so far is Brianna, Scarlet, Carlee, Carmen, Taylor, and Tamzin.
